About Yildiz Sethi
I now know there are no coincidences. Synchronicity is happening all the time if we are alert enough to notice and to take up the challenges and opportunities.
Yildiz is the name my father gave to me. My father is Turkish and my mother was English and I was born in England. The name Yildiz literally means "star" in Turkish.
As a young woman I was interested in astrology, but didn’t feel motivated to learn Western astrology. Instead I pursued studies in science, then got married to an Indian man and had two children and later became a physics and chemistry high school teacher. Then we emigrated to Australia as a family and I continued teaching until a critical time in my life astrologically.
In one week while on holiday, I met two Vedic astrologers and was so blown away by the readings, that within a year of this I gave up 16 years of teaching, which I had loved up to this point, to study Vedic astrology full time.
Soon after this I realised that people who come to see an astrologer often need real help and not wanting to do harm, I set about studying to become a Clinical counsellor and then Clinical Hypnotherapy, NLP and in 2005 embarked on Family Constellations training, due to another happy "coincidence", again while I on holiday in India.
Family Constellations is a very powerful psycho-spiritual, therapeutic process that taps into personal and generational energy and helps to resolve and change patterns for individuals.
I am now a Vedic astrologer, teacher and therapist, who runs personal development seminars and private sessions to help people clear their karmic patterns, in order to alleviate suffering and resolve inner and outer conflicts. I also train counsellors and therapists.
I see my purpose as clearing my own karmic patterns and helping others to do the same through astrology and/or therapy. It is from this place that I offer my astrology courses and astrology readings to you, if this style of astrology is appealing to you.

I am an IT computing specialist working in the area of Relational Database Technology and Application Development.
I have always been interested in Astrology and Astronomy but I found Astrology difficult to work with in the early 1980's. Charts had to be drawn by hand and it could take hours to draw the chart before you started to interpret it. This was an error prone and time consuming process.
In 1998, I came across two Vedic astrologers who were using computer software to generate the charts. I became hooked again and haven't looked back. The charts are easy to draw and the time can now be spent on interpreting the chart (still takes a long time to do this and for a full reading can take up to 5 hours!).
I have written articles for magazines and some of the articles are included in our published articles page. I am an ex-President of the Australian Vedic Council of Astrologers and I also teach Vedic Astrology courses. I did my training in Family Constellations which is a method developed by Bert Hellinger to overcome relationship problems within a family. Vedic Astrology shows the challenges you have in this life and Family Constellations helps you overcome it.
